Gone are the days when we used to have parents teachers association (PTA) but it's now parents association (PA), neglecting the importance of teachers in the affairs of students. I have gone through teachers who discipline students alot because I was not ready for school stuff, but do to a teacher who always monitor my movement to not allow me escape from our boarding facility. I am thankful to him today.

This incidence is not borne out of not caning children. Most Ghanaian teachers know how to discipline with the cane so they don't know what to do now that the canes are banned, and they don't care what students do. That is what killed the boy, not the lack of canes.
One of the students said there were teachers who saw the incidence and did nothing, she went to try to call another adult in the school but it was too late. meaning that students still have respect abd confidence in teachers, without the canes. Yet teachers have lost confidence.

When teachers refuse to allow sick students to access health care and they die, what causes that? Lack of disciplining (canning) teachers?.

Ghanaians please stop behaving like we are White's.
At least a minimum checks on the children will help. The extremely bad ones need to be gained to serve a deterrent to the prospective bad ones or the good ones.

Which school in Europe will subject the kids in the school to such inhumane environment including the lack of equipment and even the kind of food they eat?
Even when animals are subjected to a crowded area they tend to react in an aggressive way, what about human beings.?

The overall system is just rotten.
The system is not functional.
I will blame the government, policy makers but not the suffering teachers who are being controlled like robots.
Garbage in, garbage out.
There is this recreational centre with a hotel where some of these students come with their girlfriends to have fun even during school hours and you people are saying what?

I'm a teacher and I teach at the JHS level. I've had issues with parents, school heads and students trying to instill discipline in some stubborn students even without the use of a cane. Out of the numerous cases and problems I've encountered, Permit me to say just one in the vacation week prior to this holiday. In fact, there were two incidents but I'll only talk about one.
There is this girl is my school, she has no respect for a teacher. After the usual closing from school, one of the students approached me and informed me that this stubborn girl was going to fight in a bush with a boy and many other students had followed them into the bush. I rushed there and called them to come. This girl refused a walked away and went home. The following day, I sent for both of them and I advised them. The became angry with and started planning evil against me.
Two days later, while I was in my class with my students, she and stood by the window of class and started shouting as she tried to pick a fight against another student in my class. I called her and she refused. I asked her to move away from the window and she refused. I asked her to sweep the veranda and she still refused. I decided to ignore her.
On the day of vacation, I met an anonymous letter on my desk telling me that this particular girl is planning to use super glue to spoil my laptop. Well, sat there still thinking about this letter and two students approached me and informed me the same information that is contained in anonymous letter. I called them aside to interrogate further and they told me the number of students who were aware about this plot. They ten students who were aware about the plot because the girl in question told them as they were seated in a group. In addition to destroying my laptop , she was also requesting for my picture. According to what she told the group students, that I will suffer strange sickness and I will not be able to treat myself.
At this point, I decided to take the issue to school head and up to they have not looked into it. I'm now contemplating whether I should remind the school head or just forget about it. I know that nothing will happen. At best they will just call the girl as usual and advise her. But the fact is, now I fear for my life. I've advised myself to avoid ensure that students are discipline in school. Yeah, with what I've gone through so far it is enough to lay low and close my eyes for my safety.

Parent nowadays think parenting is all about providing the needs of their children, neglecting the discipline aspect of it. Many so-called parents are themselves indiscipline, let alone their wards. The deceased parents I believe would have even have the impetus in suing any teacher who had tried using cane on his child as a means of correcting his behavior. We now see how foreign policies and cultures have now become a thorn in our flesh. Our gluttonous leaders lacking shame just accept any foreign policies just because of their selfish desires and the naive Ghanaian also sings to their praise. Please my brothers and sisters who are teachers, please protect your job and allow these recalcitrant students whose actions are protected by the rules of Ghana Education Service to kill themselves as we have just witnessed one.
