It is common sense to know that this is not feasible. Currently, MPs only need to call the MTTu for a police escort when necessary. Why should all MPs have sirens and disrupt the entire country? Granting MPs unlimited speed on highways will result in accidents and unnecessary traffic. He should put an end to this foolishness, as it will not be tolerated any longer.

I don't think this privilege should be extended to the other members of Parliament. That will be unnecessary cost to the country and will make these members too detached from the plight of the ordinary Ghanaian. Already we spend a ton of money whenever this president travels abroad. We have signed the international convention on environmental protection which includes limiting noise pollution. Ghana is so noisy. It is high time we start addressing issues related to noise pollution. Doing away with unnecessary use of sirens is a decision in the right direction.

Why should the tax money from people outside the Ashianti region be used to protect Kumasihene? Why is he entitled to travel with police motorcade and siren? If the Ashiantis want Kumasihene to be protected there are a lot security companies across Ghana which they can sign a contact with to protect the Kumasihene. Under no circumstances should the protection of Kumasihene be the responsibility of Ghanaians in general.

We have to be careful with certain things that we do in Ghana in order not to trigger animosity in the populace. Ghanaians are already angry. Too angry. The recent demolition of the statues of the big five says a lot about how some people are feeling in the country. We should be careful!!!
