  In the first place, there was no fight against galamsey. The NPP government only disembarked the 'kaffirs' from the galamsey gravy train to jump on board and embark on the most heinous of crimes against our environment. They have the presence of mind to deploy soldiers to border towns to stop a so-called "smuggling of grains" outside the country but they cannot do same with soldiers to stop the galamsey menace. Hm!

NDC rather sold Ghana to the Chinese and Aisha Huang in return for galamsey, excavators, rosewood theft, dumsor and chinese generators.Today, Chiefs are being destooled because sensitization due to investment of that 300million in stopping Galamsey. Excavators are being burnt in attempts to stop galamsey. Galamsey is prohibited in many communities due to that investment.

  It's both: a failed state and a failed government along with assistance from crooked chiefs, crooked politicians, crooked business persons, and crooked foreign elements. Regardless of how long galamsey has been going on, a sitting government has the responsibility to take drastic actions to stamp it out, given that galamsey is done openly and its operations are easily detected. But then again, how can galamsey be addressed when the President himself keeps making excuses for galamsey bandits? How can the same President and his government explain to Ghanaians why it dismisses galamsey charges against a Chinese galamsey queenpin, then sheepishly lies to Ghanaians that this action was necessary in order to maintain cordial relations with the government of China? That Chinese galamsey lady wasn't acting on behalf of the Chinese government, nor did the Chinese government have any interest in her illegal mining operations.
