  Though Suhum is seen as a safe seat for the NPP and from my investigation the MP can't win the seat for the second time,it will be a bit difficult for the PC. I say this because the NDC didn't present a stronger candidate and even per what I saw in last week end's health walk by the incumbent MP, most NDC sympathizers were spotted among the crowd. And the MP 's decision has infuriated many NPP sympathizers who hitherto were not showing interest in the upcoming elections

  An MPS position is not permanent. The election times are for the people to decide on their leaders. If you lose an Election, you must be prevented from going independent by law.

  I think you are wrong. It is a strategy to force to extract something for losing a seat. So, defeated candidates have suddenly seen the utility of the strategy, which admittedly. has proven useful as a useful negotiating chip. Once you threaten to go independently, the party will move quickly to dangle something before you as an appeasement. So, the only way to stem this is to remove that incentive. It is NEVER a failure of leadership. It is the incentive.

  NPP has become so unattractive and anathema to Ghanaians just like leprosy and elephantiasis infected patients, The few smart ones in the NPP party are trying to distance themselves from the NPP party to save the little credibility and integrity they have left.
  Some defeated parliamentary candidates are going independent because they want to have the bargaining power, they know for sure npp government is going out of power come December 7th, 2024 InshaAllah and they want to do business with the Incoming NDC government.
  So people should understand them because the current NPP government is looting and sharing so ghanaians are angered with them, no ghanaians want to hear the Nana akufo addo, Dr Mahamud Bawumia and NPP party

  You have all missed the point, and you forgotten about what happened to honorable Asiamah who decided to go on independent candidate in his constituency when they imposed a candidate and bind him and Akuffo Addo demoted him from NPP party, but honorable Asiamah defied everything and went for the independent and won and went to parliament, and save NPP party giving them majority in parliament and also now he is the deputy speaker, so now everyone wants to try their best if they think they have supporters in their side
