I feel sorry for some of the NDC folks who commented on this article namely, FRED, kwame Brekum, Ogyatanaa, FRANKIE, Sara Joseph, etc. Obviously they are so much conscientised by the NDC style insult anybody who critices what NDC stands for and so did not think through the Chiefs argument. The Chiefs argument is one from critical thinkers, l don't think the NPP communication team have even ever thought of this line of defence when Mahama himself mounts platform and criticises the double track system. I once said that the one who proposed the double track system was such a smart guy that the President Nana Addo should have honoured that guy by now. Indeed it is his suggestion of the double track that helped to put thousands of our children in school who otherwise would have been walking in the streets without secondary education. And l like what the Chief is saying that if Mahama is describing the double track as traffic light, red, gold, green and he now turns round to propose 24 hour economy and explain to Ghanaians that when a waakye seller sells day time and closes somebody can come and use the table to sell in the night, when the welder closes day time another welder can utilise the premises to weld night shift. This tells you the hypocrisy of Mahama, just criticise anything NPP does without thinking through it and then make promises that bother on similar pronciples and don't even realise. Their NDC followers also don't realise it so they lineup insulting the Chief. I know times are hard in Ghana now but to vote for NDC who clearly don't think through issues properly and just, l will vote NPP especially because l am convinced that the difficulties we are going through now as a nation is a global crises.

How do you adequately prepared for a country that its population is constantly growing? Do you know population is dynamic and not static? You cannot start anything If you wanna get everything ready before you start it because you will never get ready. This is why Ghana needs to educate its citizens so everyone else can weigh up information and research and make decisions as to what will help you and the future generations and not insults. Its only illiterates that insult people's opinions. Come to Europe and see how they do politics because people are educated and they can take information, weigh it up, ask questions and measure and then make decisions and choices as to what will help them and their future generations. Its about having a discussion or dialogue and we should be able to tolerate each discussion from all angles. When someone says hes going to do 24-hours economy just ask how you going to achieve that. How is our transport system in Ghana is even like to even take people from one place to the other if you have to start work at midnight to 8am or 2am to 10pm just like in Europe here. How is security in the country for even a woman to walk down the street in darkness to start work from even 10pm to 6am? Most people in Ghana do their own businesses for example a market woman selling things, probably start selling from 6am to 6pm and then go home to cook for her family and have family time, do you expect that woman to come back later or should give her store to someone else to run it for her after she's gone? Yes there are things in Ghana that are already running 24-hours in Ghana and there are other things that could be done too but the point is dodon'just say it but show us how you gonna do it and the specifics that can be done for 24-hours and what you gonna do to achieve it and I will take that information and weigh it as educated person and make my decisions and choices. Its not about insults folks. When I used to live in Ghana you you can only give direction to your address by the nearest school or tree or certain building and recently when I heard you can get taxi straight to your address by giving your E-address I was amazed and I know we can do more but Rome was not built a day and sometimes you have to endure hardship to learn and progress as a country. So the most important fundamentals every country needs is educating its people so we can weigh up information and make good choices and decisions and also to be able to hold people accountable to actions or promises and not looking for those short term putting money in my pocket and the lack of knowledge I'm on the floor begging for help because of making wrong decisions and choices. Life is a marathon so get the foundation right and build on it. If you wanna get everything ready before you get married, you will never get married because you will never get everything ready but you can start from somewhere and build on it progressively because most things are not static. The world is like a clock and time waste for nobody.

What Nana Yefri is saying, is called Resource Optimisation. That is, finding the best possible way of using limited resources (in this case, classrooms and other school facilities) to achieve desired results (that is, access to SHS education to all qualified JHS pupils), while minimising waste - like:
1. the brains and talents of the pass-no-way JHS pupils;
2. unutilised classrooms during school vacations;
3. underutilised skills, talents and capabilities of paid teachers and other staff during school vacations; and
4. skills and talents of trained, but unemployed teachers and other staff
and costs - like:
1. the cost of raising extra funds in the shortest possible time;
2. spreading limited resources too thin across the country in uncompleted school blocks, leading to the accumulation of dead capital, assets that are not effectively in use; and 3. opportunity costs, that is, moneys that could have been used on other pressing needs.

The “Double-Track” is not new to our educational system. The Distanced Learning, External Degrees, Workers Colleges and Sandwich programmes in our universities are all examples of the “Double-Track” System, no matter how they are called.

In fact, “Double-Track” even existed in our elementary schools, way back from 1960s through 1980s to 1990s. I started Primary One in a “Double-Track” school system, until I changed to a single stream school. We had Morning and Afternoon school shifts for three streams of schools in only nine classrooms in the “Double-Track school, two of the classrooms were at the backend verandas of the school block. A lot of people went through this system successfully and became high class professionals in own rights.

We can’t afford to let brains and talents of the youth go waste year on year, because of pass-no-way and we can’t also afford to wait until we complete all the so-called E Block schools to get all of them in school. I suggest that the “Double-Track” system should continue until we get every qualified JHS pupil into an SHS or TVET.

In so doing critical infrastructure will have to be developed to include services so that there can be continued production, processing, distribution, local consumption and export.
The 24hr economy therefore becomes a by product of a resilient and robust productive economy. It is a function of demand and supply.

So it is not an overnight achievement.
The Big Push of the 2020 and the 2024 manifestos of the NDC explain it further details.
This model is being applied by advanced economies. It is doable. Let's give the NDC the opportunity to come and implement it. Indeed the 24hr economic model is a holistic approach to development.

How do you adequately prepared for a country that its population is constantly growing? Do you know population is dynamic and not static? You cannot start anything If you wanna get everything ready before you start it because you will never get ready. This is why Ghana needs to educate its citizens so everyone else can weigh up information and research and make decisions as to what will help you and the future generations and not insults. How is our transport system in Ghana is even like to even take people from one place to the other if you have to start work at midnight to 8am or 2am to 10pm just like in Europe here. How is security in the country for even a woman to walk down the street in darkness to start work from even 10pm to 6am? Most people in Ghana do their own businesses for example a market woman selling things, probably start selling from 6am to 6pm and then go home to cook for her family and have family time, do you expect that woman to come back later or should give her store to someone else to run it for her after she's gone? Yes there are things in Ghana that are already running 24-hours in Ghana and there are other things that could be done too but the point is dodon'just say it but show us how you gonna do it and the specifics that can be done for 24-hours and what you gonna do to achieve it and I will take that information and weigh it as educated person and make my decisions and choices. Its not about insults folks. When I used to live in Ghana you you can only give direction to your address by the nearest school or tree or certain building and recently when I heard you can get taxi straight to your address by giving your E-address I was amazed and I know we can do more but Rome was not built a day and sometimes you have to endure hardship to learn and progress as a country. So the most important fundamentals every country needs is educating its people so we can weigh up information and make good choices and decisions and also to be able to hold people accountable to actions or promises and not looking for those short term putting money in my pocket and the lack of knowledge I'm on the floor begging for help because of making wrong decisions and choices. Life is a marathon so get the foundation right and build on it. If you wanna get everything ready before you get married, you will never get married because you will never get everything ready but you can start from somewhere and build on it progressively because most things are not static.
