  Honestly, my experience at Korle Bu won't permit me to say anything negative about them. I believe they are doing their best with the resources available to them.
  
  I had issues with some of the health workers but let me say that there are some very good human beings there.
  
  To name a few, Dr Alhassan, (who is now at Tamale hospital, I think), very wonderful human being, Dr Bampoh, (who is at Ridge hospital now), Dr Adjoa Agyei, Dr Bonney, Dr Essoun (very affable human being. I had to keep myself from laughing to safeguard my stitches any time he was around), Dr Sanyang, Dr Amegatse, Dr Obaka, Dr Adu-Aryee (I think he was the head of surgery then), Dr Fiawoo. . . I could go on and on. But you get my point. These are the best of human beings I have come across in my over five decades on this earth and I met them at Korle Bu.
  
  The procedure involved removing my entire ascending colon and joining my small intestine to my transverse colon. They call it a right-hemicolectomy. Before then, I had had stomach problems for years that was misdiagnosed as stomach ulcer.
  
  It's been seven years now after the surgery and I went on to marry my sweetheart who stayed with me throughout my ordeal and we have a child now. God has been good to us.
  
  
  But before all this, My Dad underwent surgery at Korle Bu to remove his piles of 20 years. He went through the hands of Dr Bowan. He's 90 years and alive by God's grace.
  
  Then, there's a Dr Dadzie who was more than a doctor to us when my brother was terminally ill with lung cancer.
  
  In 2023,my niece went through surgery there to remove some lumps in her breast. She went through the hands of one Dr Tsatsu. She will always remember her.
  
  I remember going back to Korle Bu a few months after my surgery to express my appreciation to the team that operated on me and didn't meet them. I was told Dr Sanyang had even returned to his country. They don't realise it but God brought that team together for a specific job. That job was me.

  In 1995 I was admitted at the Medical Block of Korle Bu. I was suffering from Cerebrospinal Meningitis. Dr Chris Hesse and a team of medical doctors did so well for me. Latter Dr James Danso took over. There are some good doctors in Korle Bu till now.
