I'm amazed that people still give Dr. Bawumia so much credit when the government of which he's part excluded him from the 38-man FX Committee formed a few years ago to come up with measures to stem the fall of the cedi.

I'm sure it's because having observed him at close quarters for years they have concluded that it's all NATO (No Action, Talk Only) to borrow Mr. Kyeremanten's term.

Respectfully, I do not think Dr Bawumia is wilfully advocating policies merely to present himself different from the present government of which he has been an active player. Neither is he advocating change to avoid culpability, if there is any. Far from the conclusion you appear to make the discernible politician appreciates the stark realities of the times, post COVID and post Ukraine. Any wise, knowledgeable and pragmatic politician, may businessman or investor, will of necessity revise the future direction to take. No one can be faulted for being sensible.

Bawumia is serving in the Nana Addo's government and he must be his own man and so he is expressing his own principles. When G W H Bush, the VP to Reagan contested for the presidency while still in Reagan's government, he took his own stand on issues. Similarly, Kamala Harris is campaigning on her own issues and not on her Boss Biden's issues. Even when Mills contested as the VP to JJ Rawlings, he stated that he would be his own man. So this Kobby Mensah is just an attack dog for the NDC against Bawumia. He's not being an objective Prof.

They then find some mushroom journals in Asia who will publish anything so long as you can pay. So check Kobby Mensah's publications and see how many he's listed as the main author. He's completely empty!

Much as he has had to assist Akufo Addo to implement the latter's vision doesn't mean he should carry on ALL of Akufo Addo's visions and plans. Not sharing some of Akufo Addo's vision is not by no means a repudiation of the works of the Administration. Yes, there may be broad Party positions on issues but the plans may differ with change in Party leadership and that's what some of us, less learned as we may be, see in Bawumia's campaign. What the campaign is about is, what an NPP Government under Bawumia's leadership will do, going forward. Anyway fact is, propaganda is propaganda, no matter where it's coming from
