Prod. Azar is damn right about the *relic of colonialim* The following are also relics of colonialism---which Ghana and other African countries should DISCARD:
1) Weating that big old WIGS in a hot weather;
2) Provision of *bungalows to officials* because the White folks did not come to stay for good;
3) The 60-year old retirement age. In those days the life expectancy was far lower than in modern times and should be duly increased to 70 or 75 years;
4) Even the hiring of drivers, cooks and garden boys MUST be discontinued. They were for the White colonialists who didn't know our roads and towns, how to cook our foods for them and how to take care of the weeds and gardens. They're gone and MUST be discontinued for us Africans.

Hello youth of Ghana. You can take your own life with medicine. For instance 10 paracetamol at once.......or combine medicine and akpeteshie or weedicide.

You are also smart. You have expanded Azars argument so well. This is the kind of protest some of us will support. The youth must be on the street to stop some of these abuse of the country by the elites against the masses.

Interesting arguments. Why should the courts be shut down for 2 months? Why should judges all take vacations at the same time? I agree with Prof.

CJ I don’t agree. Then all doctors in our hospitals should also have medical vacations for two months continuously because they also need rest. Don’t you think the Judges are just lazy and incompetent?

Life is about adopting to change to make it better. Vacation is necessary to reinvigorate workers. It doesn’t make sense to me when vacation closes down the whole justice system when cases are piled up in court. The is the reason for our backwardness. It is strange the chief justice can’t see the damage of this entrenched grandfathered clause, but only to argue on the basis of archaic colonial rules

This Chief Justice is an excellent product from a chew and pour school educational system. Her reasoning is sometimes just like a little child.

Lekening judicial leave as school holidays is neither here nor there, justices are matured minds, and the absence of one justice will not hold the judiciary on.
School children cannot be holiday individually that why we close down schools for holidays.
CJ don't always play ignorance on the ignorant ones just us you did defending the primary source of citizenship.
Society must grow, new things must be introduced into the system, if you can't upgrade then reset the system.

Not even the president of Ghana goes on two months vacation. No institution in Ghana has two months vacation for workers.
Why can't the judges arrange their annual leaves like every other worker in the country?

This behavior of judges is discriminatory and abuse of power. Whose family do they go out to visit during their vacations? How can judges compare themselves to school children? Very ridiculous.
