NPP's One-Village-One-Dam is Useless
It's surprising that the so-called dams (hundreds of them) built by the NPP in the north are nowhere to provide water for, at least, some of the farms in the north in the dry weather. The explanation that the dams are only dug-outs meant to store-up water only when it rains, is laughable. Fact is, the farms require unnatural water in the dry season and not in the rainy season so why waste so much money to construct these so-called dams if they can't serve any purpose? The dry weather in the north has indeed exposed NPP's much touted one-village-one-dam as another wastage of national resources.

I live and farm in the Ashanti region , the reports did not mention Ashanti region . We the farmers in the region suffered the same dry spell. Before the start of the rain season, Ghana meteo told us on the radio that the rain will be falling in abundance this year. I planted my maze in June, the rain was good in June but stopped at the ends of June until August 26th ,l lost most of my 20 acres of maize. Ghana metro must be up and doing , their prediction was way too far , why? Don't u have the equipments ? Irrigation!;Irrigation ! Irrigation . How does a peasant farmer get access to these irrigation equipments? Ghana meteo must do the proper analysis of rainfall data before they come out . Tweaaa!!!! I am planting again, hope the rain will continue to fall.

I have tried on several occasion to understand the barrier that stands between theory and implementation. Ghanaians seems to be good at advocating good theories but buck when it comes to putting their theories to work, which is not a natural phenomenon, because the reason for theories is for us to find out it's practically if it check it's upgraded into a law
