But why are Ewe chiefs of late the Akan style of putting on kente without a jumper shirt beneath? Please the traditional Ewe style is admired by even Akans. Why discard that, exposing your ampit, chest etc? You must preserve the Ewe culture and that's why l am excited at the formation of this Union. It's a great beginning.

Wearing Kente with a jumper is part of the Voltarian identity which was even adopted by Kwame Nkrumah.

If only this will last longer. Ewes have always wanted to promote unity among themselves but sometimes, enemies from outside and within collapse it. All Ewes came to Ghana/Benin/Togo together under a leadership. Unlike Togo where they are quite United, in Ghana not so much. Sometimes those at north and south don’t agree, or sometimes south-south disagreements. Why not have one King where all off them royal. President idea is terminal but Kingdom prevails
