The cocoa industry does not have much room for stealing. Hence this government negligence. The fight against "akate" was half-hearted. Bawumia, as the head of EMT should have championed the fight against galamsey where cocoa farms were destroyed to make room for mining. Bawumia as EMT head should not have put the cocoa roads construction on hold for three years.

If even as you claim, that international banks refused to grant loans and that it has necessitated COCOBOD to self finance for the first time in three decades, is this not an opportunity that should be supported by all stakeholders in a bid to be self reliant?

Every mishap, disappointment or adversity has within it, a similar degree of opportunity which the positive minded mind should seek to mine for better effect.

Maybe Addison at BOG will print cedis for you. The real problem as why no international underwriters won’t loan to COCOBOD is not just that the leadership is incompetent but they don’t trust our Government to pay back in case COCOBOD can’t pay.
