Good idea. In addition to this, people should be appointed to head these ministries based on their competence and the requisite knowledge of the field.
Appointment should not be based on partisan lines and avoid putting round pegs in square holes.
Also, no member of parliament should be appointed as minister. Mp’s should focus on their job in parliament and this will bring about segregation of duties with no conflict of interest.
To sum it up, Ghana can have less than 40 mp’s to represent us in parliament. We don’t need that over 250 mp’s.

Honestly, I don't see the need for Information Ministry now that most Ghanaians can access information directly through the TV, radio and mobile phones. Nkrumah created the information ministry in order to educate Ghanaians using mobile vans. This noble cause was deserted in connection with the 1966 coup.
