Agyeman-Duah should understand that NDC, being part of democratic dispensation is the threat we face in Ghana. While they have no tangible policies to move the nation forward, they wish to be in power every day, and what is the meaning to that, peace?
Depending on how we think (our mindset) a coalition government will be a disaster. Just look at what's going on in parliament due to "our hung parliament", NDC is behaving as if they are in power.
Imagine a coalition government where the defense minister is from the opposition, or any sensitive position giving to the opposition in a coalition government. Sabotage will become part of our political discourse.
Look at Martin Amidu who was appointed as the first Special Prosecutor. Amidu accepted that post as way to a fault-finding expedition against the president. So, Agyeman-Duah, with our clogged mindset, we should focus on the winner-takes-all system.
As I said before, NDC is the problem we face in Ghana because they harbor a diabolic intention which does not augur well for our democracy.

A democracy with shared responsibility among various political parties would definitely minimize CORRUPTION and STRENGTHEN UNITY AS WELL AS, PROVIDING MORE ACCOUNTABILITY.
You ( @pelicles ) are unsmartly pinpointing fingers at NDC with their behavior in the hang-parliament,..
What makes you think, why the NDC is behaving the way it is doing currently with the hang-parliament...??
The NDC is logically behaving that way because of exactly what Agyman-duah is suggesting, namely, LACK OF A COALITION GOVERNANCE....
There's nothing like coalition GOVERNANCE in GHANA, the ruling party takes control of everything ( winner takes it all ).
With this type of democracy of the winner takes it all, YOU CANNOT EXPECT AN OPPOSITION PARTY TO ASSIST A RULING PARTY TO SUCCEED IN EVERYTHING, WHICH WOULD END UP TAKING SOLE CREDIT FOR THAT, while the opposition party would not be able to rally or campaign of doing things differently and better.
With a COALITION GOVERNANCE SYSTEM, both the NDC AND NPP or OTHER PARTIES WOULD HAVE, A SHARED RESPONSIBLE GOVERNANCE, which would have equally led to A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY IN GOVERNANCE, thereby enabling the coalition parties to COMPROMISE FOR A COMMON PURPOSE.
Unfortunately our current democratic system IS INDEED TOTALLY UNFRIENDLY FOR DEVELOPMENT, PEACE, GOOD GOVERNANCE, TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY, etc.....
Our current... WINNER TAKES IT ALL SYSTEM....is the root cause of political parties SOLELY governing to market or promote their respective parties MORE, than FOCUSING ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NATION.
I totally agree with Agyman-duah.

Why some nations form coalition government? If a party wins power and, does not have the numbers to form a government, it enters into coalition with other parties, and when one of those parties departs from the coalition, an election has to come on.
Israel and Japan are examples. There is no nation anywhere that would form a coalition as long as it has the numbers to form a government.
NPP or NDC, most of the times, have the numbers to form a government but, the problem is we are not honest. In any human institution or whatever, honesty is non-negotiable, and that is something we should do no matter what the consequences.
Are we honest? Professor Agyeman-Duah's statement is based on the assumption that even if a political party has the number to form a government, there should be coalition, and that will not work.

Professor, let us know your stance , either a communist or a socialist. There is , and has never been an " in- between" political stance. I believe Ghanaians have opted for capitalism with underpinning socialism in education and health. Those 50's mentality does not work in the 21st century. That is my opinion Sir.

Thank you OPANYIN AGYEMAN DUAH for your comment on this issue. Please FELLOW GHANAIANS let's agree and adopt the THE SWITZERLAND SYSTEM of GOVERNMENT. A SEVEN (7)MEMBER OF GOVERNMENT from all the POLITICAL PARTIES. A Committee should be set up to study that country's CONSTITUTION . It will the the best for GHANA and for that matter the whole of AFRICA.THE country's BEST BRAINS will be available at any time to rule the country. The beautiful part of it the SELECTION of individuals to LEAD their MINISTRIES. I pray a committee would be formed to study that country's SYSTEM with the view of adopting for the benefit of dear COUNTRY GHANA. SQUARE PECKS IN ROUND HOLES APPOINTMENTS will be avoided. Tensions in ELECTION YEAR will be MINIMISED If not ELIMINATED. GOD IS OUR HELPER. THANKS TO ALL GHANAIANS. MAY WE ALL REMAIN BLESSED. IN GOD WE TRUST.

Unrepentant and shameless tribal man who only see the issue of winner takes all becoming a necessity when his fears of the tribal party he supports going into opposition. The retrogression of the current republican dispensation should entirely be laid on the head of Prof Baffour Agemang Duah and to a large extent, Prof Adei, Prof Karikari and several tribal ' animals ' for a good measure; when during former US President Clinton visit to Ghana decided to take a dig at former and late President Rawlings by a reference to him as been a Political ANIMAL.
If not for mischief, why will the broadcast networks cannot sieze inviting this shameless Prof Baffour Agemang Duah from further poisoning the political atmosphere. Surprised that some patriots still don't know that Prof Baffour Agemang Duah doesn't mean well for the whole of Ghana but only the tribe that he belongs.
