It is perplexing that an individual who claims to supervise master's students in economics lacks a fundamental understanding of the roles of Parliament and central banks. This situation is quite embarrassing.
Does he truly hold a PhD in economics, and from which institution did he obtain it?

Although I have not had the pleasure of meeting Samy Gyamfi, it is important for us to recognise the remarkable intellect he represents for Ghana. I take great pride in his achievements and look forward to sharing this with my colleagues at work.

I would have thought an economist would look critically at the data. Many Ghanaian opinion makers don't do this, which is disappointing in itself but coming from an economist with a PhD is a catastrophe. Does Dr Bannor mean none of Akufo Addo's policies: bad implementation, wasteful expenture and corruption are responsible even partly for the inflation in the country? If the diagnosis is wrong, the remedy will be wrong.
