My beloved people of Ada and their handling of their salt fields requires a serious research by some of our eminent sociologists.The late industrialist,Mr Apenteng of Panbros Salt fame some years ago acquired concession at Ada and set up Songor Salt,to among other things produce acid for the automotive industry, but my people will not agree,the then PNDC under JJ used the death of a salt thief who was pregnant to seize Songor Salt by passing a decree banning Mr Apenteng and all his family members and workers from the concession till 1992 when PNDC rule ended. The Songor Salt after the seizure was handed over to a certain man who was close to JJ who proceeded to produce the salt and sell without accounting to anybody for years without my Ada people raising a finger in protest.Now that McDan has come to invest and create employment and wealth for my people in particular and Ghana as a whole the same agitators this time backed by politicians who don’t wish them well.When constitutional rule returned in 1992 my people turned round to vote and continue to vote for the party of the people who suppressed them and looted their wealth.
