if NDC says they are against any thing the government brings to parliament, if we did not see that all the 137 voted against it, it means they have compromised and should not be listen to.
if all the 137 voted against it, and NPP use their majority to pass it, then we need to give our platforms to listen to NDC MPs as to why they disagree with the government .

if the president nominated any person to whatever position in the country , parliament has a final say as to when they are going to do the vetting and if they are satisfy passed the nominee for the president to appoint him or her.
without the approval from parliament there is no way the president could even Act or do anything.
