  Ghanaweb shd be talking about the poor state of our public transport(trotro) instead of mates to the buses.No civilised nation would allow vans to be converted to commercial vehicles.

  Trotro is not needed in this time of our age it is archaic.What we need is mass public transport.Ghana has gone past Trotro which quite expensive and dangerous to operate.

  Indeed,trotros made from imported cargo vans (207s) and minivans are dangerous and outdated, it does not need the brain of a rocket scientist to know that the government together with private partnership can put together resources and equip NEOPLAN to mass produce purpose built buses for both MMT and trotros for private operators,Neoplan is sitting in Accra and Kumasi rotting away while scarce foreign exchange obtained from IMF loans are gleefully doled out to importers to bring wholly built buses from Korea(I beg south) and China.Thinkers ooo thinkers.   The leaders in this country are so lazy and dumb to the core that because of their laziness and corrupt mindset , they are shifting their responsibility on public transportation to the private and individuals who even has no capacities to run their business effectively in accordance. to the labour ACTs IN THIS COUNTRY.
  The people in the country are also not angry to compare the leaders to make a formidable public Transportation for their movement.
  so the unacceptable has become the normality and you are talking about hygienics of the poor mate ?

  1. Taxi
  2.Trains
  3. trollies or city Buses- which connect communities in and around the city
  Kumasi to Accra is more than 200km- per standard and road traffic acts in serious countries - Buses are prohibited to convey passengers as daily routine .
  it suppose to be by train or Air.
  we are in a situation like
  in the olden days where Ambulances were not available in the country
  we used vans and saloon cars to carry people in an emergency to hospitals.
  instead of providing proper Ambulances - you are telling the vans and the saloon cars drivers to dress well and use the private cars as national Ambulance.
  are you not mad ? are you not legalising the illegality ? are you not running away from your responsibility ?

  The drivers are not good, the road are bad, the vehicles are in worse condition and the worst part is the enforcement issue.
  The Police comes to the road to extort money from the poor drivers.
