  We must not forget the significance of the Bond of 1844 concerning the engagement between Fanti chiefs and the British merchants.
  The British didn't colonise Ghana by force but through agreement.
  As a matter of fact,the earlier Europeans came to the Gold Coast with the sole aim of commercial activities backed by their Monarchs and the Pope.
  Nana Kwamina Ansah and many other chiefs on the coast willingly leased lands to the Europeans to build their trading castles and forts.
  What most of us don't know is that some of the Fanti chiefs agreed with the British merchants to trade for 100 years even before the British governors arrived.
  It's not for nothing that the British parliament chose the 6th March the same date the Bond of 1844 for our independence.Tnx.

Instead of thinking of how to resurrect the dead CPP you are only interested in issuing useless statements. Where was Nkrumah when Sargeant Adjetey and co were shedding their blood for this country. Even Paa Grant who paid Nkrumah's fare to come to Ghana is not the founder of Ghana. Are you not ashamed that the CPP currently has not a single seat in parliament? You may hate the Danqua Busia people but at least for nothing at all they have managed to keep their tradition alive and they are ruling the country. Idiots.

  The CPP must not disturb our ears. When did Nkrumah come into the scene? Was he not invited by the leaders of the UGCC to be the party's secretary? Was the struggle for independence not ongoing? You sit down for the NDC to trick you into believing that they are Nkrumahist so that they win your votes. If you don't know let me tell you that it was for your votes that the Founder's day nonsense became a public holiday during Prof. Mills' tenure. Have you forgotten that this issue became debatable when it raised it's head? You cannot change the history of Ghana for political reasons. From the basic school to the university no history book talks about Nkrumah being the founder of Ghana. We know the big six which Nkrumah was one of them. Even before the first political party was formed prominent people in the country had begun the struggle for independence. Don't waste our time on this unnecessary argument.

Just like Frimpong Anokye who is entitled to his opinion to assuage his whims and caprices. Yet, most unbiased and well-meaning Ghanaians do strongly agree with and endorse Nana Addo's exhaustive analysis of all the various episodes, which led to the founding of the nation. Indeed, we do owe all such great and rightly acknowledged founding fathers a great debt of gratitude; without any exception whatsoever.
