To all extents and purposes, Allan is an honest and decent man. However his many years of active hobnobbing with the "ma ti me ho" (UP/NPP) Party that before the independence of Ghana, actively campaigned for the independence of a political entity called Akanland comprising only the Ashanti region and Northern Ghana casts an indelible stain and obstruction on any political ambitions that he may have in the future.

Again, Allan did not leave the NPP on issues of political or ideological disagreement. His personal ambition to lead the NPP as their flag-bearer in the next election was thwarted by the machinations of the Akyem mafia who, as it appears, preferred a candidate who they could better manipulate to enable them completely capture not only the NPP but also the entire state, should they in the unlikely situation, win power in the next elections.

Asiedu Nketia and Mahama have been in shock since Bawumia was elected. They are still revising their talking points.
