It’s the big six who founded Ghana. Kwame Nkrumah the despotic and dangerous dictator was made the leader and later on clandestinely broke away from the group to form the CPP. History tells us that when he proclaimed Ghana’s independence, all the big six were together with him on the platform. He was just the spokesman.
It’s only block headed ones who will challenge the true assertions of the President.
I submit that Kwame Nkrumah alone is not the founder of Ghana so that term “Kwame Nkrumah’s Ghana should be erased from the lips of ignorant Ghanaians.

There was also completely free Healthcare available to all Ghanaians. That is why he caused to be built, Polylinics in as many communities - both urban and rural, throughout the country as possible. His health program was to have at least one Polyclinic in every District in the country.

The NPPs so-called One District One Factory is also just another stolen idea of Kwame Nkrumahs 7-Year development Plan policies, to have at least one major industrial facility in all regions.

It is typical of the NPP to not only steal money and any other resources of individuals as well as those of the state but to also steal intellectual property as well as historical accomplishments of others. Just look at how they stole excerpts of speeches of various American presidents to form the substance of Akuffo Addo's inaugural speech. The people are simply incorrigible and shameless.

The "Big Six" were leaders of the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC), Ghana's first political party, and played a central role in the country's independence movement. The UGCC was founded in 1947 with the goal of achieving independence from Britain. The Big Six were arrested in 1948 after riots led to the deaths of three World War II veterans. In 1950, the British invited the Big Six, excluding Kwame Nkrumah, to draft a new constitution for the Gold Coast. Nkrumah, an organizer and leader with a radical vision, became Ghana's first Prime Minister in 1952 and led the country to independence in 1957. The Big Six are featured on Ghana's cedi notes.

Joseph Boakye ("J.B.") Danquah: A founding member of the UGCC who actively pursued independence legislation.

William Ofori Atta: Also known as "Paa Willie", he was a founding member of the UGCC and served as Ghana's Foreign Minister from 1971–1972.

Kwame Nkrumah: The first African-born Prime Minister of Ghana and a prominent Pan-African organizer who led the country to independence in 1957.

Emmanuel Obetsebi-Lamptey: A member of the Big Six.

Ebenezer Ako-Adjei: A member of the Big Six who stood for election in 1951 on the UGCC ticket.

Edward Akufo-Addo: A member of the Big Six.

Ghana's "Founder's Day" was changed to "Founders' Day" to honor the Big Six and other members of the independence struggle.

Fist of all, there was nothing like an appointed or officially acclaimed Big Six. The epithet of the Big Six was a mere erroneous appellation (nickname) of affection which some wayward journalist at the time had borrowed from abroad to refer to a few members of the UGCC at the time.

The so-called Big Six, were not - definitely not "leaders" of the UGCC. You could have been excused if you had referred to them as "some leading members of the UGCC. If, as you had ignorantly opined, that they were the actual "leaders" of the UGCC, then why was the name of the only founder and the sole financier - Paa Grant, who invited the rest of the members to join the UGCC, not included with those deserving of that sobriquet? It appears that this misbehaviour of
constantly lying, cheating, undermining and not giving outstanding people their due, is symptomatic of the NPP starting long ago and must cease or it will eventually cause them their complete extinction from the body politic of life in Ghana when the eyes of those who they have succeeded in fooling thus far, begin to open.

Even if we should forget the effort of all others, should the roles of Paa Grant and Ako Adjei, as FOUNDERS, in working towards attainment of independence and the ushering in of Ghana, not to be recognized. FOUNDERS DAY IS GOOD for collective recognition and KWAME NKRUMAH MEMORIAL DAY IS GOOD for the sole purpose of Nkrumah’s charismatic galvanizing for independence now.

Even some of them invited Nkrumah to join them paying the cost of his ship trip from the UK. Without that, could Nkrumah have joined the fight at the time he did?
