  It's not true that the regions Akufo-Ado created are tribal based. In Savanah region we have the Gonjas, the Kantosi, and the Kamara people. In North East region we have the Mamprusi, the bimoba, Chekosi, and Some Konkomba communities. In the Northern region we have the Dagomba, Namumba, and Konkomba. I wouldn't blame Zugrana for making a request for a region. Everyone presents their priority needs to presidential candidates when they get the chance to do so. And it's not my business to tell which makes sense or not. However, the response John Dramani gave shows clearly that he's not fit to rule Ghana again. The same request was made to Bawumia when he paid a visit. Now, go and find the two videos and listen to them and you will see who is a true statesman of the two. It's unfortunate for him to think that fanning ethnic violence and divide is the way to win power. If Akufo-Ado, Bawumia, or Napo had said what John said in Bawku they would have been called all sort of names. Only God can tell who is a humble person.

  Let Mahama dream! He thinks even if he wins power, we will allow him to use our resources to create a tribal region. What is the population of the Bawku district? I believe we should consider combining the Upper East and the West to become one Upper Region it was before Rawlings for political reasons divided it into two. What is the population of the whole of Upper Region. In the civilized world regions are created on the basis of population not on tribal line. Someone should tell Mahama, we are not going to allow him transfer wealth from middle Ghana to his tribal areas. Never again will Akans allow that. Very soon the national cake will be distributed based on how much each region contributed.

  First it was the GWR disease that engulfed the country, and now comes the New Region disease. You don't need a new region; you need to demonstrate that you're a real traditional leader by working to bring peace between the feuding factions in your districts. A new region won't solve the problem that has plagued your area for decades.
