But this is not new, just that such rank is held by Ghana Police Service officers who had successfully served as Senior Superintendent of Police or Deputy Commissioner of Police (Selection Grade) and got promoted to this rank ...

The law allows for the appointment of a 'debuty IGP'. However, it does not allow for the appointment of a 'debuty IGP in charge of operation', there is a difference and i hope the court will FasTrack judgement on the matter i ...

The Constitution mandate the president only to appoint the head of the police service but not to appoint officers to other admistrative or operational areas. This is very conflicting which may cause operational harvoc.

The appointing authority is himself a lawyer, so some of these things ordinary citizens no dey understand koraaa!!?
If the President has power to appoint a Deputy IGP, why can't he place him where he wants him to operate? Who appoints the Director of CID? NDC politics is destroying the brains of these people.
The appointing authority can appoint a Deputy IGP and assign him a particular role. This Dampare man is very mischievous. He's not comfortable with the Deputy IGP appointment hence instigating this present action.
