Our currency is worthless and keeps depreciating; the government is broke and has accumulated so much arrears, that has seeped into the Banks. You can't simply restructure these line item debts. The President/Vice-President should be truthful and tell the nation exactly what is wrong with the economy.

  This is just a top of the iceberg. The regulatory forbearance tolerated by the BOG for some banks notwithstanding their poor asset quality will soon show its ugly head. There should once again be an independent asset quality review of all the banks. BOG should not be part of this review because there are not applying the rules across board. How are restructured loan being treated.even before the receipt of the first post restructuring payment. Are the loans classified as current or still non performing..How are restructured government and quasi government exposures classified by the banks. To what extent is Ifrs9 being adhered to by the banks. Food for thought
