This sounds like a fake story. No woman living in Canada will knowingly subject herself to fraudulent marriage, unless he is paying heavily for the nkrataa.
The woman may be an independent lady, an achiever who wants to add marriage to her portfolio. Even if she divorces, the wedding photos makes her happy. She moves on to enjoy life as a married woman with no strings attach.
