I was wondering why so because in Ghana workers were paid in full during lockdown and I was told that when workers go on strike they are not paid for those number of days or weeks they strike. I think it's high time for paliament to pass a law to that effect. Strike by teachers, across board, is too much in Ghana. Today it's CETAG, tomorrow UTAG, or GNAT or another teacher group. There must be NO WORK, NO PAY policy in place to check unwarranted strikes. Workers are paid because they worked but if a group of workers decide to go on strike, it's their constitutional rights and the government must be up and doing as some government officials negotiating with leadership of workers demeanour are not the best.

Per the Constitution of Ghana we are qualified to be recruited as teachers (Refer to Education Act 2020 and 2008). Furthermore it is unfair and unconstitutional to prioritise 2022 colleges of education graduates over us
