I acknowledge the authority of the Rt. Hon. Speaker over proceedings in the House. However, he should have asked the Hon. MP to withdraw the statement before asking the Marshall to escort him out. This is what is done everywhere.
Sacking a member of the House without giving him a hearing or giving him the opportunity to withdraw the statement he had made is, in my respectful view, contrary to the rules of Natural Justice and is, therefore, unlawful.
