Inasmuch as I partially agree with Bryan, I want to know how many of these 800,000+ SDA members are eligible to vote? What mechanism will the EC use in filtering the entire register to determine who are the true SDA members and legible voters amongst them considering the limited time, resources, and space before Dec 7th? By facial expressions identification, church ID Cards, pastor- membership guarantees, etc.? It becomes more delicate
especially when the trust of EC officials is at all-time low and compounded by Akufo Addo's deliberately appointing known unscrupulous NPP members unto the commission.

By the way, Americans where the SDA was birthed and has a bigger voter population compared with Ghana has never designated exclusive voting days faith biased organisation. So why should we rush into untested terrains in this crucial time? Additionally, will that not open up the floodgates for unsustainable demands from other groupings? I'm just open-mindedly asking harmlessly and without malice.

The request of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church as carried by the leadership was for the entire country to fix elections on a definite day in either the first week of December or within November, of each election year so our elections wouldn’t interfere with the beliefs of people.
As it stands election 2036 if the world remains in it’s current form in the event the 2nd Advent/Coming hasn’t been experienced will fall on Sunday.

The fact is that, we get the issue resolved amicably.

Adventists don’t require Bryan to advocate their issues for them. The Church believes and trust in GOD to do that for them.

As I said a couple of days back when the president urged Adventists to consider voting on the LORDS day, I remain true to my stance that to obey GOD is better than sacrificing for corrupt politicians in this country.

Again the individual Adventists are admonished by GOD not to even engage in their personal will on the Sabbath, how much then more would they think of doing that which has to do with endorsing and promoting criminals in the political arena?

Bryan keep mute and purge yourself of the dents against your name in the recent tensions created due to your interests in state assets.

Campaign to those who intend voting for you politicians no matter what. Remember every individual will be held accountable for his or her choices

You should have known long ago that December 7th rotates from day to day each year. So it should have occurred to you, as a legislator, that one day December 7th would fall on a Sunday, or a Saturday, or a Friday.

Most democracies arrange their elections to fall on a specific day of the week, rather than a date. It is about time parliament looked into such issues and do the right thing! Let is fix our elections on, say, the first or second Monday of December in the election year! That is all that we need. It would not be right to start messing with the voting of the security agencies, because it can end in anything at all!

1. we have already recognise these religious bodies even in our constitution-

2. if the churches and other Religious groups are been reconised with these 3 days - the Friday , Saturday and Sunday-
we all as a country could come to a consensus - that
A). if the 7th December falls on Friday the EC should organise the national election on the 6th December which is Thursday

B) , if the 7th December falls on Saturday - the EC should organised the election on 5th December which is still the Thursday

C) if the 7th December falls on Sunday let the EC organise the national election on 8th December which is Monday .

I don't think this would cause any constitutional gab in our democracy and national elections.

it is for me not a good idea to allow group of religious people to vote with the national security the reasons are

1. we don't know the number of the religious groups of voter who are going to vote on that day

but for the security personals we do know those who are going to vote.
2. our electoral system is still young to be trusted so for Hughe number to firstly vote before the general public could also spark controversies .

3. as we are developing - if we could build a trusted and robust system to make it impossible for double voting , then
we could even do it in such a way like the voting week system- whereby throughout of the first week of December we open the polls - to allow people to vote and make the 7th December 3.30 pm as the time all votings ends for counting.- this is only achievable when we had a fair minded EC officials and trusted police to guide protect the votes of the people from rigging.
