Aba, people retire on their whilst others don't and TUC, you turn a blind eye as if all is well. Wake up and cease to be a toothless bull dog.

  SSNIT is being hypocritical, shifting blame and playing to the gallery. How on earth can they explain this posturing when they have had FOUR (4) seats on the SSNIT Board of Trustees and together with Ghana Employers Association - 2 seats, and Pensioners Association - 1 seat, command a total of SEVEN SEATS out of the 12 member Board, all this while? Governance is largely in their hands, and so it's laughable to say SSNIT has failed to comply with ILO's requirements.

  Dr Otoo, organised Labour should come out with one voice. UTAG and others are calling for the immediste dissolution of the Board and management and you are now setting a condition to be met failing which your threat shall be enforced.
  Organised Labour has now the upper hand.I suggest you demand the following immediately without any condition
  . Amendment of the SSNIT Act to have majority of Organised Labour representatives constituting the board
  .Appointment of management especially DG by the Board through a transparent and fair system avoiding Political patronage and other vices and solidly on merit.

The attempted sale of ssnit is just a tip of the ice Berg. Ssnit is rotten to the core TUC should do a thorough dissection of ssnit and they will be shocked to see the extent of rot. Ssnit needs complete and comprehensive review. TUC members on the Ssnit board are also guilty of the rot in ssnit they are more interested in taking their board allowances than safeguarding the interest of their members
