  The writer did very well. However the brewery was sold by Rawlings to some NDC financiers who did not know anything about business. They in turn sold the brewery to another businessman until its present owners came and bought. Rawlings sold most business to his friends who destroyed the business because they did not know anything about business. This is AFRC/PNDC/NDC. Governments.

  Hmmm thank you..Atleast today it was not written by bitter truth..that’s the downfall of Ghana..Rawlings is the reason why we have so many foreigners as businessmen in Ghana..He will collapse an Akan man’s business and give it to his tribe men or a foreigners..if someone is not business oriented and business minded, you can even hand him/her $10 billion dollars, he will still squander it and come back to zero..it takes someone with business oriented mindset to turn money around and make a successful business..unfortunately all the businesses that Rawlings gave to his supporters, it all collapsed

  @BitterTruth, the man Siaw and his Tata Brewery weren't paying taxes to the State and not paying tax is a criminal offense anywhere in the world. If Mr. Siaw was honest why didn't he stay to face the law but run away to England? Didn't the company have managers and directors who could have paid the accumulated taxes but no he runs away as usual and throw dust in people's eyes so that Rawlings will be seen as being bad? At that same time there were companies who weren't touched by same Rawlings why ? They were clean. Always balanced stories don't skew it.
  All the private companies which were sighted were all tax evaders and all owned by NPP forefathers. They have been bad from birth. Stop the propaganda. It won't work.

They are using it as a tool to misinform you by always painting those who are against their kind of people and governance black and exonerating themselves for their bad behaviors. Tax evasion by anyone is a crime against state. In China you'll be executed. But in Ghana it is normal and the people who do these are these same NPP folks. Nation wreckers.

  You guys only talk about Rawlings and don't mention Afrifa and his rogue antics. Speak about the ills the 1966 coup brought and stop demonizing Rawlings. Do you know tax evasion anywhere in the world is criminal offense against the state? Why didn't Siaw go to court if he knew he's being wronged.
  Trying to paint Rawlings and the PNDC/NDC in bad light won't work Ghanaweb. What didn't NLC do to Nkrumah? Shut up !
