GN Bank was Struggling liar!!!

Even before the financial sector clean up your back was struggling to pay depositors. GN Bank did not have the capacity to operate a branch in every district yet you branches everywhere. Not even the big banks does that. It was simply a Ponzi scheme solely aimed at taking depositor's savings.
When GN Bank failed to meet BOG's new minimum requirement for banks, they were demoted to a Savings and Loans Bank. Once again GN savings and loans failed to meet BOG's minimum requirement for that category. I am aware several banks tried to merge with them but it didn't work. Apparently their books wasn't looking good.

Later there was propaganda going round that he gave out loans to government contractors and therefore the government has to be lenient on him. In any case, Banks have regulations. You don't give out more loans than what you can. Their interest was to make more money from poor people's savings at higher interest rates whilst they paid nothing on deposits.

Now Mr Ndoum's only hope JM to win. Lol! I can bet my last pessewa that isn't gonna happen. For those who don't know, Mr Ndoum led the government divestiture programme ( Sales of state owned businesses) during Rawlings time. That's how he made his wealth apparently. He isn't a Saint!!!

Not many businesses are completely clean the world over. Not even 'world referee' the UN is free of misdeeds. We shouldn't go all out and bastardize our big Ghanaian businesses or we'd not get a Dangote etc

The banks over the years took advantage of the loopholes at the Bank of Ghana and milked mother Ghana. On several occasions the bank of Ghana gave these struggling banks money and all they did was to share it among themselves.
