Akuffo Addo wants to tell other leaders about over-exploitation and deforestation without discussing illegal gold mining in Ghana, called Galamsey. Under his watch, Galamsey continues to destroy the rivers in Ghana, pollute lands with mercury, cynide and other poisons; Ghana’s cocoa production has dropped because farmers are being sold to illegal gold miners and the ones not sold, are yielding less cocoa. This President failed on his own promise to “put his Presidency on the line” to fight this problem.
