  Is the meter located below the gas cylinder? How could fire from a meter lead to gas in a cylinder catching fire and exploding? Let fire service carry out their investigation.

  You are not able to link the meter to fire. Is it the explosion of the gas or meter fire that destroyed the house. If there was no gas cylinder in the house will the fire have destroyed the house?

  The house in question needed a fire extinguisher to fight the fire because the fire from the meter starts SLOWLY and spreads through the electric cables up to the roof and if there is a NAKED fire/flame from a gas stove, then there will be an explosion. About a month ago, a neighbour's meter caught fire and he was able to put it off before the arrival of the fire service. Let's all try and get two fire extinguishers in our homes- a dry powder and a Carbon dioxide extinguishers.
