Abedi only grew up in tamale and schooled in tamale for his shs ( Ghanasco) . He also played for RTU . He is much loved by the people there .

Stop spreading falsehood. Abedi did not grow up in Tamale. He was born and bred in Accra, precisely Dome. He played for a colts club called Great Farcos at Alajo. In fact, he won the colts player of the year in 1977. He was then sponsored by Simms Mensah to attend Ghana Secondary school in Tamale where he then joined and played for RTU while in school.

Abedi was not born in Accra! He was born in Kyebe/Kibi. He was brough to Dome Poore at the age of 8 by his dab who worked at the Achimota school. He went to Ghanasco in 1996 through the late Alhaji Gnadamoshie and Mr BA Fusei ...

He went to Ghanasco in 1996 through the late Alhaji Gnadamoshie and Mr BA Fuseini. Yes Simms Mensah helped financially, but he was mostly sponsored by Northerners who were managing RTU at that time including the Kate Aliu Mahama.
