Is the ego of the Trade Minister at work here? We must be careful not to collapse our cement manufacturers. First, regulate the "runaway" exchange rate and then discuss cement prices.

Very partisan and unfair comment. What has a bizarre regulation of price got to do with an investor?

Who are the masses that KT Hammond is representing? This is a call for people with ill-gotten wealth to continue to build houses and exploit young low paid workers!

Hypocritical @AB!! This is not theoretical debate. People like you cry loudest that "things are hard" and lambast the NPP, ignoring the inherent greed of Ghanaian businessmen/women.

NOTHING BUT AN ELECTION BULLSHIT PLOY BY A CLUELESS MINISTER.
This useless Minister can't even regulate his own Julor House corruption and incompetence, let alone have the authority to regulate prices. These thieving nation-wreckers have been in office for more than seven years, and never bothered to regulate prices while Ghanaians suffered until now, with barely four months to go before the elections. So whom do they think they're fooling?

Prof Alex Dodoo of GSA seems to be a petty power drinking chap. How did he think we were all stupid to allow GSA be a price regulator of cement?

The Minister should carry out a holistic assessment of the price hikes, starting with food items and come up with realistic policy responses which may include reduction in the rather high and numerous taxes - some of which have outlived their relevance eg Covid Tax. He me need to consider in collaboration with the Finance Minister, actions to tame the Cedi devaluation.
