  Gakpo's father has Togolese and Ghanaian ancestry. This post should have afforded the writer a chance to highlight this, to boost the moral of Ghanaian football supporters.
  Instead, we are spoon-fed the usual undeferentiated, nonsensical, eurocentric football news - bland and valueless to boosting the enthusiasm of our youthful footballers, who need feel-good stories to motivate their future careers.
  Our journalists must think cohesively and patriotically.
