The letter could only be asked by a court of competent jurisdiction in a very serious case that deal with the integrity of the accused. even in a true democratic nation where the Rights of the accused a paramount to be respected at all cost- the presiding judge could only ask for this document where the accused is in a life and death junctions where discretions of the court may need it in determining the fate of the accused .

i understand Mr Lartey's concerns and he must be. As much as I agree its confidential, i believe there are processes leading up to the declassication of certain "confidential" documents to unravel matters.

My only gotcha here is that, I really pray and hope the right processes were followed leading up to the presentation of such facts before the courts. If it wasn't, im quite sure and confident his lawyers would have moved a motion for the evidence to be struck out.
As a lawyer, he could have gone a step further to educate the audience.
I guess the journo did a bad job of not following through with the educational bit.
