  Ghana's main international airport must not be named after a coup maker. Kotoka was a coup maker, one of the organizers and active members of the group that overthrew Ghana's first president, Kwame Nkrumah. He was killed at the airport when a counter-coup by Arthur, Yeboah and Poku failed. The counter coup was to bring Nkrumah back to power but it failed and during the fighting, Kotoka was killed at the airport. A coup maker should not be celebrated and the country's main airport named after him. The airport should rather be named Kwame Nkrumah International Airport or Accra International Airport. Kotoka's monument should be removed from the airport and relocated in his hometown.
