Arhinful is our last killer.The people of Sekondi/Takoradi remember Arhinful as the last skillful player from the metropolis who played for the Black Stars.
Ofcourse,Samuel Inkoom is the last Black Star player from Sekondi but we love Arhinful more because of his impact in the game.
Unfortunately,today we don't have any Sekondi/Takoradi player in Black Stars which pains my heart.
It pains my heart,I grew up witnessing great players from Sekondi,some of whom were Black Stars captains like Fynn Aggrey,John Eshun,Emmanuel Quashie etc.
Today,it seems like we even don't know what is football,it's so sad.Kudos to Arhinful.

He kept avoiding confrontations on the pitch because he didn't want to be embarrassed. At the Olympic games for instance he had a counter attack against Korea but when he sensed a Korean pursuing him, he stopped the ball and gave a pass. It was disgusting and amusing at the same time.
He wasn't called neat as he has said. It was his fans largely from the Western region who were describing him MR GENTLE.

Arhinful wasn’t that good.. always gentle and couldn’t involve in games, couldn’t score goals…those days we say very useless player..all he did well was U21

You see when you say one lie, you are forced to be saying lies to be covering up the initial lie.
That first match two number 9s Kwame Ayew and Augustine Arhunful started. How?
The truth of the matter was that they were all feeling big thinking that a starting place in the Blackstars was their birth right.
They got on the pitch and with the exception of Otto Addo & Alex Nyarko, they were all lethargic but with bloated ego.
That centre forward role should have been given to Peter Ofoli Quaye.
A lot of them had passed their prime at the time and they were just too heavy to compete against the Cameronians so they started giving up one by one starting from him.
