This is only true only if you can afford to pay to see a doctor, pay for the various necessary investigations such as blood tests ,xrays, scans etc in Ghana. Also only if you can afford to be ripped off by many Ghanaian private clinics who saddle you with unnecessary investigations and treatments. Access to good healthcare may apply if you live in the cities or bigger towns where there are decent medical services. If you live in a remote rural village with no good roads or means of communication this could be a quick death sentence if you fall ill.So let's stop this nonsense about better access in Ghana compared to that in developed countries.
On the other hand many Western Health Systems are collapsing because of the ongoing general economic deterioration in many of these so-called developed countries. The soaring cost of living if it persists at the current rate in these countries may well cause their Healthcare to become "Third World" in a decade or two. The general trend now in most Western countries is DOWNWARDS,partly because of the persistent misallocation of dwindling resources by the clueless leaders found in most of these countries which continues to worsen their already massive eye-watering national debt levels.
If you are a Ghanaian living in the West you need to be aware of the worsening economic picture there and especially the growing geopolitical risks of catastrophic war and how this could affect you and your family. The insouciance or nonchalance of the populations of these countries conditioned by decades of peace and relative prosperity is very troubling.

Most of the divorced single mothers don't like to work, so keep lying all the time for sick notes and now some of the GP’S do not take them seriously. In UK your first point of contact is to call for an appointments with your GP, if the GP diagnosis and find anything serious behind what they are allowed to do will then refer you to the Hospital and you can also call for ambulance or go to the accident and emergency with certain illness such as been involved in accident, struggling to breathe, other injuries etc

This woman is very ignorant. In the UK if you are seriously ill you can dial 999 and call an ambulance and it will pick you at your house within 15 minutes and take you to the hospital and be treated. It is non life threatening illness that you go to your family doctor. There is no way healthcare in Ghana is better than the UK. If you have money or health insurance in the UK you don't experience any waiting list which is a frustration sometimes on the UK NHS.

UK is an advanced country and you should not expect the same Ghana ways and means there.
In advanced countries you don't just walk to hospital to see a doctor.
People have their personal doctors or community doctors that you can visit with an appointment or without.
These are the doctors who are very close to you and can examine your problem quickly. It's only when the problem is very serious that hospital comes in.
In Ghana, only the rich could afford personal doctors and visit private clinics.
In UK,you don't have to be rich or poor to receive treatment or pay before service.
Madam,go to Ghana hospital today with your sickness and see what will happen to you.Tnx.

What this woman said is not true. You can go to any Accident and Emergency ward in a hospital to get medical attention immediately if your case is serious or you think is serious. You will then see a nurse who will triage you before seeing a doctor if necessary. You can call 118 for medical advice. You can see your local area GP if you are registered with them by walk-in at certain times or by appointment between Monday to Friday.

I am surprised a lot of people are picking on this lady. I wouldn't have believed her until I experienced some last Thursday (June 27th). A friend was in a life threatening situation and called me but I asked her to call the 999. It took them 53 minutes to send an Uber (not ambulance) to pick her though we pay NHS fee of over £1050 yearly. The whole of Thursday was about unnecessary tests, missing results etc. I felt it's because she's not a citizen. She was discharged without any diagnosis and had to return on Friday mornings till evening before being diagnosed and given medication. Healthcare here is very faustrating.

The lady did not tell the whole trait he about accessing UK health system.
She can easily use other options for immediate treatment; such as calling the ambulance service which provides immediate medical attention without going through the normal appointment process.
She can also call NHS 111 phone for phone medical attention without any appointment.
To compare Ghana and the UK in terms of health delivery as she sought to do with her conclusion is NOT factually accurate.
