If 63% of newly registered voters used the guarantor system, that should be the more reason why you can't use the so-called Ghanacard as the only document to register. Which country does this nonsense of using a single identity card for all purposes? Even in almighty America, the driver's license, State ID, Green Card, Passport etc are all acceptable forms of identity. Heeeeeeerrrrrrr....... When the baton of power changes hands eh.......and these charlatans and criminals in cassock dare open their filthy and stinky mouths to criticise the new government eh, they they'll be hell to pay for.

In any case, in some countries like the UK, they encourage foreigners to vote in their elections. As a temporal resident in 2017, i received a mail inviting me to vote in the 2017 elections. The voting of foreigners in ghana's elections isn't the problem, leadership isn't just the best. As Ghanaians, we do refer to one another as foreigners. Aren't the akans calling the voltarians togoles?

I am even surprised that the sole use of the Ghana Card for Voter Identification has not been implemented as at now. With a single identification system and efficient digitised records, it will be much easier to identify genuine citizens of the country. This is what is being done in many countries, and we must move forward as a country. This Government has been rather slow at fully implementing the Ghana Card Identification system, so whoever wins the forthcomming elections should make its full implementation more of a priority.
