  With careful planning and hopefully support from your family you should be able to go back to school. Remember that it is possible that your interests and priorities may have also changed over the years. If so then consider other academic persuits that may be better aligned with your lifestyle and present circumstances. You are wiser, more mature and experienced which should be a great advantage.
  Your first starting point is to do thorough research in two or three areas that interest you then narrow this down to one- nowadays internet makes researching subjects and vocations so much easier.
  But talk to people working in the profession that interests you. The more relevant information you have the better placed you'll be to make the right decisions.
  By the way don't allow anybody to look down on you because of your age or gender. Raising kids is far more demanding than any academic studies so you are more than able to tackle any academic work.
