Why shd kids below the age if 18 be asked to write external exams? When the citizens are blind and ignorant we have vision less leaders?Where in the civilised world do we see such a thing?

Off course the cost of merging JHS & SHS will be huge to the state but we stand to benefit in future.Forcing children to write BECE at that tender age leads leads to a lot of cheating bcoz no parent wants his/her child to drop out. This cheating continues to SHS and it is repeated in the university. No wonder many developed countries are not accepting our degrees if travel outside and wants to be their citizens.I know critiques will compare Common Entrance to BECE but I can prove it that it wasn't the same.

The merging of JHS and SHS will only be feasible if there is a heavy investment in SHS infrastructure to create avenues for continuing JHS pupils.

DO NOT ABOLISH BECE.
It worths to examine once life at every stage in life. A life not examined is not worth living.
Nature itself assesses itself. The problem of Ghana is that we copy blindly. Countries where they don't examine at this level have a way of assessing the pupils to place them where their talents are.
I Ghana we don't talents assessment modules except pushing from one class to the other in the name of promotions.
Until better systems are put in place to assess the students BECE should not be stopped. Nature itself assesses itself.

The man was not talking about the withdrawal of assessment he said students below the age of 18 shd not be exposed to external exams. This leads to a lot of them dropping out from school which will lead to streetism.

For once my idol, Kwami Sefa-Kayi disappointed me by not asking the relevant questions. How do we do placements in our SHS if we abolish the BECE? If we gonna use continuous assessments, teachers would give favorable grades to their favorites and it gonna become another extortionate exercise. In the USA most high schools have K19 that feed them. The standards do not differ much county to county. In Ghana students from every nooo and cranny want the Achimota, Mfantsipkm etc. How do we places the students?
