  It is alleged that his injury occurred during the Under 17 World Cup in Japan. To avoid the fraud being exposed, the Ghanaian team leaders accepted the Japanese medical treatment for a 17 year old skeleton, which was inadequate for a 26 year old, ending up worsening his condition, ultimately leading to his paralysis.
