  Your attempt to be slick won't fool anyone. The CIA did not bribe Kotoka. Afrifa was the one who dealt with CIA, along with Busia. Kotoka was convinced to join the plot because his popularity in the army would lend credibility to the plan and thus ensure the coup's support from the rank and file of the army. Kotoka, like Ankrah, was a figurehead. The real power-broker in the military government was at all times Afrifa, and he was working in the interest of Busia. Busia called the shots behind the scenes. When Afrifa finally took over the leadership of the NLC, he issued various edicts that were intended to shackle members of the CPP while making Busia the sole person who could make public appearances. Thus, the NLC created the Centre for Civic Education with Busia as its head, an the plan was to allow Busia to criss-cross the country and become a household name, pending the lifting of the ban on political campaigns. When Ankrah showed an interest on becoming President in the future, Afrifa master-minded a scheme that snared Ankrah and he had to bow out of the military regime in disgrace. And the man Afrifa and Busia used to set up Ankrah was Mr. Nzeribe. The coup was planed to have Busia become the eventual head of State, and the goal was to use Kotoka and Ankrah and then get rid of them and have Afrifa become the head of the junta, thus allowing him to push edicts that would handcuff CPP party members while propelling Busia. The whole scheme was sinister, and as usual, the USA went it merry way after helping Afrifa and Busia to carry out that nation-wrecking coup, for the USA had no interest in the future of Ghana other than help destabilize in its cold war battle against Communist China and Russia, two countries that had very strong ties to the Nkrumah government. The master-minds of the coup were the Busia/Danquah group, and their military ally was Afrifa. These two partners gained the highest positions in their lives, one as head of the military junta, and the other as Head of State. And that power only ended up giving a constipation they never saw coming.

  Dr. Kwame Nkrumah wasted his time ,energy and live for absolutely Nothing. Now just look at the behaviour of the so called leaders, intellectuals. They are then most useless ,hopeless , Corrupt and LAZY citizens on earth.
