Sometimes i wonder as to whether some of us just comment without reading or we actually read but we don't understand what we read. If Dangote uses $19billion for one refinery and the government of Ghana is using $60billion for 3 refineries, 5 petrochemical industries and even more, how does someone with sound call it a 419 project or even thinks Dangote's deal is better than this deal?

China Wuhan Engineering Co. Ltd is a merited, big chemical production company.

China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co. Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of one of China's biggest construction companies.

But what is the role of these companies, and what is the role of the state (and the chief)? The article says nothing about this, but one could assume that the empty Touchstone company and Ken Kanyagui together will own the factory and that the Chinese will build it. The state of Ghana might foot a big part of the bill, but the article does not say how big. Neither does it say whether the state of Ghana will retain an ownership share.

It is always, " This project will do this or that," but nothing happens at the end of the day.

Look at the cocoboard. They will borrow billions and tout how that will help farmers. Then, they borrow the next year to buy the same beans they took loans to buy the previous year.

Ghana is just a country in name only. We get rid of the British and then recolonize ourselves. Ghanaians are the biggest coons in ECOWAS. Dangote along with other Nigerian investors own majority of his new refinery.
