Everything is in a sorry state under this clueless government, the stadiums are nothing to write home about, national theater is in tatters etc, everything, not only the Nkrumah memorial park.

For a park which could rake in thousands of cedis per day and not have a serious maintainance team, is a travesty. This is clearly a good candidate for 24/7 just as it is done in advanced countries.

The Ghanaian is not genetically programmed to be civilised. We only spend years to build a simple edifice that will otherwise be built within months in a serious country, inaugurate it with pomp and pageantry with chiefs and dignitaries in attendance, relish it's sight for only as long as it looks beautiful, and leave it to maintain itself at the mercy of the weather. The Ghanaian is not patriotic. Most Ghanaians are not intelligent to understand patriotism. And this is not necessarily with the ordinary Ghanaian, but rather surprisingly, the leaders. Due to their greed, the ordinary Ghanaian who for example works at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial park is not well paid and so will resort to stealing from the gate proceeds. The stealing becomes a mantra, and it leads to deterioration like this one. The leaders steal and amass wealth, leave out their ordinary workers, and expect the workers to sit down calmly and be patriotic. That was why nkrumah was hard on thieves like these to the extent of throwing them into jail, but, what did he get, treachery, undermining, impudence, contempt and disrespect. Due to bad and corrupt leadership, every Ghanaian, even children, have become disrespectful. Let's continue with our foolishness.

Accountability and consequences are almost NONEXISTENCE in our Ghanaian society, that's how come the INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WELLBEING of the facility can confidently allow it to fall apart.
After all, nothing is going to happen to him or her.

We as Ghanaians are so indiscipline by nature because of NONEXISTENCE OF ACCOUNTABILITY.

As a matter of fact, sometimes I really wonder how we can make remarks that, WE ARE PROUD GHANAIANS.....
