  Sales tax is supposed to be paid by the consumer through the seller. But our system is such that most of the sellers don't use cash registers so it is difficult for the revenue agency to track the collections accurately down the distribution chain. In order to avoid double taxation in our system, the collection of VAT should happen at the top of the distribution chain. The taxes can be calculated the top and the payment done at the bottom. In this case importers and manufacturers will be the ones to collect the taxes and pay back to GRA within stipulated times.

  If you're foolish you will not get anything from your gold oil bauxite manganese timber Cocoa lithium and all the expensive minerals God gave you. The fool is ready to pay unbearable taxes. The leaders don't have any problems because they are comfortable the foolishness is with the citizens

  The worst GRA office is Mataheko Branch,full of harassment and arrogance. They leave big companies and harass small businesses.They colapsing SMEs.The government must act seriously.Very very bad .

  Good explained examples in this article, but which factories are you talking about? The economy goes down when imported goods leave Tema Sea Port. This is crippling the so called economy.
