Why cap MPs at 277, not 150 or less? Then 25 ministers, no deputies? In their absence, who acts? The chief directors accountable only to the civil service board? And does taxing the President make him equal with all of us before the law? What about the fact that he can't be sued? What about all the perquisites that office accords but aren't available to any other citizens? I find these recommendations patently childish.

What would you do with your money? In a certain constituency, no one knows the MPs house o! No one knows the minister's mansion. Does he really hail from the constituency? The Consultative Review Committee has done a poor job. Those recommendations will not achieve anything. The biggest obstacle to Ghana's development is the judiciary. If there are no judiciary reforms, we can kiss goodbye to Ghana's development. We must have an effective judiciary which will ensure that the executive and parliament are accountable and transparent to Ghanaians. Economic stability can only function well if we have an effective justice delivery system. This Akuffo Addo government is the most corrupt since independence. Their 1D1F is now ONE day ONE fraud. Most of their ministers have grown wings. Sadly, not a single person has been prosecuted since 2017 in this government. The strangest one is how Godfred Dame has been pursuing political vindictiveness. He will cook out some vendetta and place it on the head of some NDC member.

What about the widely consultative constitutional review committee work done under professor Attah Mills led by Prof Atuguba. That document is detail and has a wider input from all corners of the country.

Ghana doesn't need more than 150 MPs to function more efficiently and to save cost. The expenditure on 127 MPs could be used in providing necessary basic equipment for our hospitals. And then, the demarcation of constituencies must solely be based on population quota so that each MP represents as much close to equal number of population.

Majority of the current MPs are redundant or underemployed and a drain on the exchequer.

Don't forget 16 is already reserved for the regions, leaving 9 for other key ministries like education, defense, interior, Finance, agric, local government, justice, land and natural resources, energy, Trade, etc. Assuming there are no deputy ministers. Even in that case it should be no less than 30. So, with deputy ministers 50-60 is good.
