The Bible says a good man leave inheritance for his children ch40years ago those who are no 70years and above were youth. They chased away hard working business entrepreneurs label them thieves and corruption in name of revolution Zeal. What happened was those populist theology laid the foundations of cycle and chronic youth unemployment.

The rappotage is not entirely accurate. He was referring to those in government stealing state resources. At 70 prof milar is still working. He is running a private university.

People don't become logs at 70 and above.
So long as they have investments that brought them profit they must own landed property.

I will dis agree with Prof. Millar for making a sweeping statement. he should have said he has a problem with retirees in government who are amsing wealth illegally like Freddy, Blay, Nana the dwarf, Osafo mouth like a sack, Stephen Ntim, Ken ofori Atta, etc. but to say retiree grabbing properties is quite ambiguous. Why, should a retiree not work for or protect his acquire properties? if that is the case, why is the Prof. operating an Open University where he collects fees from students? is his school for charity? I don't want to say he is looking for popularity. retirees need money(genuine ones) for medication, payment of younger children's fees, etc. So, Prof. come again and make your statement clearer.

I know people who started a thriving business after the age of 60 years (after retirement). Some are now millionaires(in dollar terms).
On a global stage 70 years is no longer that old Massa. It is all in the mind. Yes at 70 years you may sometimes wake up at night with aching joints, tire more easily and take a bit longer to recover but a careful balanced diet, regular physical exercise (just walking daily) can help one do more.
Some retirees or over 60 year old folk wake up each morning wondering what they are going to do with themselves while a minority who have always been disciplined and purposeful in life wake up and make things happen -AND THEY ARE THE ONES THAT CONTINUE TO FLOURISH INTO THEIR 80s and even 90s.They pace themselves according to their strength .They also live beyond themselves- i.e. they are not all wrapped up in their own needs, wants and desires but also make a difference in the lives of others.
SO IN ONE SENSE PURPOSEFUL PEOPLE NEVER REALLY RETIRE

I ask myself if they don't want their children to work and earn a living?. Their conduct is upfront with the fight against corruption but who cares to know as a leader and stop it.
