We don't actually know what we want as a nation. Some schools currently are lacking teachers and class room for teaching and learning and we are here talking, arguing about non essential exam. Kofi Asare, what you might not know is one can be very proficient in English and the subjects but will still not be a good teacher. Knowing the subjects does not translate into good teaching.

Licenses for Doctors, Lawyers and Nurses have changed the system to be better. Improving daily with high efficiency. License for the following will further improve the system...

Plumbers
Electricians
Carpenters
Mechanics and Many more registered under a body where recurrence training is given before renewal

This will also improve security when one looks at a Mason's License for example before giving a contract.

It's only retrogressive person that says he will withdraw Licensure and free education and you see prole applauding.

It seriously does not answer to common sense that because of licensure failure in a particular subject/s the tertiary years successfully gained must be consigned to the paddle trash can. No one is talking about the lack of teaching & learning materials in some public schools. Those that are in the system from private person haven't under gone any scrutiny. A lot of mistakes yet all the blame goes to the teachers!!!!! Too

If someone fails a test the first time, it can give them an experience and help them prepare to come back and pass it. Then you can even say this person has shown some growth in his learning experience. Such a person will understand testing in education better and can be a better teacher. I disagree with this boss.

It is quite worrying that trained teachers who have supposedly completed Colleges of Education and have been awarded Diplomas and Degrees cannot express themselves intelligibly. Are these not those John Dramani Mahama seeks to protect from writing any licensure exams and saying it is an affront to the colleges?

Anyway, what baffles me in this whole saga, is the silence of Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, a whole graduate of Education and English and also a full professor of literature in this matter, while her boss, John Dramani Mahama, bastardises the Teachers Licensure Exams. Must he pander to the gallery in order to appease everybody, including those incapable of reading to toy with the future of the innocent Ghanaian child?

The same way we select our MPS, admissions into our universities ,military , police, and other institutions. These “protocol” forms .

There are so many successful and celebrated lawyers, doctors, engineers and other professionals in this country and beyond, who sat for various entrance examinations, or attended interviews more than once before qualifying.
